盧景文教授於1960年代在羅馬歌劇院和佩魯賈摩勒奇劇院工作，回港後開始舞台演出創作，集編劇、導演、設計於一身，作品超逾二百齣，包括歌劇、話劇、舞劇及音樂劇，演出地點遍及香港、北京、上海、台北、曼谷、新加坡和歐美各地。多年以來，盧教授除藝術創作之外，還致力高等教育工作和義務公職。他於1993至2004年期間出任香港演藝學院校長；2004年至2009年期間擔任廣東國際音樂夏令營校長，為青年管弦樂手提供專業訓練。他又於2008年創立「非凡美樂」，致力培育青年藝術人才，拓展演出平台。

盧教授對香港發展貢獻良多，獲香港特區政府委任為太平紳士，亦獲頒大英帝國最優秀勳章、意大利共和國騎士勳章、法國文化及傳播部藝術及文學騎士勳章，並獲香港大學、香港理工大學、香港演藝學院及英國皇家藝術學會頒授榮譽院士。盧教授亦分別於2005年及2012年獲香港特區政府頒授銅紫荊星章及銀紫荊星章，並於2021年榮獲第15屆香港藝術發展獎「終身成就獎」。

Returning from Italy where he worked at the Rome Opera House and the Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia in the 1960s, Prof Lo Kingman has since written, directed, and designed over 200 stage productions ranging from opera, drama, and dance to musical theatre, with performances across Asia, Europe, and America. Over the years, Prof Lo has made significant contributions not only to the performing arts but also in the fields of higher education and public service. He was appointed Director of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts from 1993 to 2004, and from 2004 to 2009 served as Principal of the Canton International Summer Music Academy, providing professional training for young orchestral musicians. In 2008, he founded Musica Viva, an organisation dedicated to nurturing young artists and expanding their performing opportunities in operas and concerts.

Prof Lo was appointed a Justice of the Peace by the HKSAR Government, made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Honours List, honoured as a Cavaliere of the Order of Merit by the Republic of Italy, and decorated with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. Honorary Fellowships have been conferred upon him by The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and the Royal Society of Arts in Great Britain. In 2005 and 2012, respectively, he received the Bronze and Silver Bauhinia Stars of the HKSAR. In 2021, he was awarded the Life Achievement Award at the 15th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards.
